  The Lead-Acid battery normally does when the lead sulphate crystals are gathered around the plates of the battery. The plates are present inside the box of the battery. But you don't worry about your battery if it is dead because of this. Because there are many ways through which you can recondition your dead battery and the good thing is that you can do this at home at a cheap cost.

  If you see the structure of the battery you will come to know that it looks like a small plant. And the main function of the battery is to store energy in its plates and we can utilize that energy whenever you needed. The electrolyte is present inside the battery which is the mixture of chemical water and sulphuric acid. The lead that is present in the positive plate of the battery reacts with sulphuric acid and causes to make lead sulphate. And when after using the battery it discharges we have to charge it again to use the stored energy in it. Now the process will be reversed and the crystals of lead sulphate will come back to sulphuric acid. And when the lead sulphate crystals are at a large amount and it does not allow the sulphuric acid to react with the plates of the battery then the battery becomes dead and it will stop doing its work. These crystals become much harder and do not allow the chemical action to happen in the electrolyte. And when the chemical reaction doesn't happen then how may the battery works?. But sometimes it's not a big problem the hard crystals of sodium sulphates could be removed with the solution of magnesium sulfate. But this method can't restore the battery properly back to its genuine condition but with the help of the method, you can restore your battery up to 70 to 80 percent which is not bad. Because it's better to have something than nothing. And through this method, you can use your battery for a few more months or years.

  Lead-Acid Battery Reconditioning Chemicals

  If your vehicle battery is not working properly and you thought it has dead then you don't need to worry about it. We will tell you the exact method that what you have to do to make your battery healthy again. First of all, just pull the battery out of your vehicle and place it on a table. Their different kind of batteries some have a screw-like shape on their top which you can open easily with your hands but some have a strip on the top of the battery. You can also remove that strip with the help of a screwdriver. If it is not coming out with the help of the skew driver then simply cut the edges of the strip then try again it will come out easily from its place. Once the strip is removed now see there will be little caps on the battery beneath that strip. Now remove these caps to take out the acid from the battery. These caps are normally made up of rubber so they come out easily.

  Now with the help of a syringe take the acid out of these holes but remember not to empty these holes with acid carefully see the holes with larger acid. Take some acid from these holes and Puch it in the holes of small acids so that they all should be half-filled with acids. Just balance these acids in all these holes. This is important because if there will be no acid left in the battery then the battery will be immediately discharged and you have to recharge it again. When you needed it. When you are doing this procedure you have to hamn sure that this acid doesn't fell on your body or clothes because this could be harmful to you. Try to discharge the acid in the right place so that no human could be harmed from it.

  Lead-Acid Battery Reconditioning With Epsom Salt

  After carefully opening the caps of the battery. Now you need to make a solution that you will put in the battery so that it could work properly. For this purpose, you have to make the saturated solution of Epsom salt which is also known as magnesium sulfate, and mix distilled water with it. You have to put the salt in the water while it is boiling and keep stirring the water while adding salt in the boiling water. And continue to add the salt in the water until the water stops accepting the salt in the water. Now when the solution is ready put this Epsom salt solution in the battery holes until they are filled to the top of the strip. Remember to fill all the holes not to left behind anyone without filling it. You can add this Epsom salt with the help of a syringe or dropper.

  Lead-Acid Battery Reconditioning Technique

  When the battery is being reconditioned you need to charge the battery. While charging some gas will evaporate this happens when charging while reconditioned the battery. So you don't need to afraid of this. Just don't close the caps of the battery for the first time charging the battery and let the gas come out of the battery. Now connect the battery charger to the terminals of the battery and start charging it. You have to charge the damaged battery with the trickle charger at a very low amperage. And this charging will be overnight. Because it could take a lot of time to charge. And in case you don't find a battery charger then you can use a simple technique to charge your battery. Just recap your battery and put it back in the vehicle. Simply jump-start your vehicle and have a long tour for one to two hours. The battery will be charged by the vehicle. This could be a good alternative to charge your battery.
